The following companies are taking part in this mission: Apoio à Casa, CMCadeiras, Gaveta de Glamour, LBF Mobiliário, Made to Last and Premium The Sofa Tailor, which will have privileged access to bilateral meetings with top executives from Moroccan companies in Casablanca, Fès, El Jadida and Tangier.
This is a unique opportunity to meet relevant players in the Moroccan market and expand the networking of these companies, and it is hoped that business will be done. As AEPF’s executive director, João Pedro Begonha, explained, after the success of the UK Inverse Mission, the partnership with Market Access, a national leader in supporting the internationalization of businesses, continues. “We believe that this Business Mission has everything it takes to succeed, both because of the possibility of expanding into a market that is growing rapidly and because of the proximity and affinity that Portugal has with Morocco. We know in advance that there is a lot of interest in supplying furniture to hotels, restaurants, cafés, offices, private condominiums and premiumfurniture retailers.” He also said that “it was clear that there is a global awareness in Morocco that Portuguese furniture companies have high quality products” that suit French-speaking tastes, a natural and historical influence in this market.
Once again, the mission was organized so that the participating companies could meet individually with each potential importer.
Morocco is a very interesting market for Portuguese products, especially because of its geographical proximity. There are already trade relations between the two countries, which have strengthened over the last year. According to indicators from the National Statistics Institute (INE), Morocco was Portugal’s tenth customer in 2016, in a market in which more than 1,300 national exporting companies are involved.
